Sharon Stone, 64, gave the best response to ex-partner who dumped her because she refused to get botox

'The Basic Instinct' star recently opened up about how she is embracing ageing but not everyone else is on board.

Sharon Stone has been renowned for her stunning good looks for years and since the '90s the actress has been a sex symbol in Hollywood. Now at 64 years old, she's opening up about embracing her age but it looks like not everyone is on board with it. Stone is not a fan of cosmetic procedures anymore ever since she suffered a stroke and a nine-day brain hemorrhage in 2001  "I was in an ICU for nine days and the survival rate for what I went through is very low. I don't need someone to make me feel bad about growing older," she said in a 2014 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. She revealed that "the key to looking good as you get older is, it all comes from the inside. You have to do what you like to do."

The Sliver actress told Vogue Arabia that she feels “women become invisible once we become moms and you’re 45 and people walk by you like you’re not there. Life doesn’t always make you feel like a winner as you grow older.” Speaking of her usage of Botox she revealed that  “there were periods in the super fame when I got Botox and filler and stuff, and then I had this massive stroke and a nine-day brain hemorrhage and I had to have over 300 shots of Botox and filler to make the one side of my face come up again,” she explained. The experience changed Botox from a “cute luxury to some kind of massive, painful neurological need.”

From then on the Basic Instinct actress decided to never go near the procedure. However recently, when she was dating a younger man she was surprised at a remark he had made about her aging. When her ex-partner asked her about getting work done, she simply clapped back saying, “It would probably be really good for your ego and mine if I did." She then said, "I saw him one more time after that and then he wasn’t interested in seeing me anymore. If you don’t see me for more than that, you’ll please find your way to the exit.” Sure enough, that relationship never took off again. But Stone isn't bothered. At 64, she revealed that "this is the most exciting and creative period of my life,” she said. "I feel really, really happy. I’ve never been this joyful.”
