For Mother's Day this year, a New Jersey woman got the surprise of her life when her husband's twins asked her to officially adopt them. Sisters Julianna and Gabriella Ruvolo posted a video on TikTok on May 9 which shows them presenting their stepmother Becky a photo book for the special holiday.
As she flips through the pages and reads them aloud, the two girls seat next to her patiently waiting for her to arrive at the page which contained the real surprise. When Becky finally arrives at the last page and reads the proposed question, she starts sobbing uncontrollably before telling the 20-year-old sisters, "Of course, I will!"
The twins' father, Pete, captured the emotionally beautiful moment which has since gone viral on social media. Becky later told Good Morning America that she had no clue that the two girls were planning to pose this big question. "I was so caught off guard, When I read that, it was just pure shock and an honor and the emotions of just like, 'Is this really happening?'" she recalled.

As for Julianna, she said, "We figured, like, what's the best time to ask the biggest question we will probably ever ask? And why not make it on Mother's Day? Ask our mom to officially be our mother on the day dedicated to her." The twins had a good relationship with their stepmother right from the get-go.
She was first introduced to Julianna and Gabriella when they were only 8. And it didn't take Becky long to form an immediate connection with the two girls. "When I met the girls, I was very nervous, but we hit it off," admitted the mother. "And it kind of just snowballed and flowed from there into our family."
For Gabriella, it was like love at first sight. "We were already calling her mom because it felt so natural. We met as friends and then she became mom and it was just, from the start, it was like love at first sight," she shared. "We always went to her as we would a mom. She was always there for us," added Julianna.
The twins' father, who wed Becky in 2013, was extremely pumped about his daughters' Mother's Day surprise and was pleased with how everything turned out in the end. What makes Pete even happier is being able to capture the sweet moment on camera. "To actually see it unfold, just filled me with such a feeling of pride, proud for my girls and for my wife. I know how happy that would make her and it really was such a special moment," he said according to PEOPLE. "It's possible to have a true family whether it [is] blended or not. And you can have this kind of love."
