"You should shut the f**k up": Alec Baldwin defends his newborn and wife Hilaria as fans question the baby's birth

Last September, the couple announced the birth of their fifth child together, and about six months later, they welcomed their sixth child to the family.

Refusing to watch from the sidelines as people criticized his wife and newborn child, Alec Baldwin shut down trolls on social media after the newest Baldwin family member was introduced to the world.

Six months ago, the actor's wife Hilaria Baldwin announced the happy news about the birth of their fifth child, Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas in September. A couple of months after that, Hilaria spoke about how she was content with their brood of five, especially after dealing with the stress of the pandemic.

Fast-forwarding a few months from the announcement of little Eduardo's birth, fans got to see Hilaria post a picture with their sixth child on Monday, March 4.

"7❤️📸Alec," is all that Hilaria wrote in the caption while her adorable children, Carmen, Raphael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo, and their newborn Lucia surrounded her, according to CBS News.

"We are so in love with our daughter, Lucia. Just like your brothers and sisters, you are a dream come true," she wrote in another image she posted the next day.

Before telling the world that they had welcomed their sixth infant, the actor and his wife did not publically talk about having another baby on the way. The flood of comments that came on Hilaria's post saw many questioning where the new baby came from.

"Who’s the mother? She wasn’t pregnant. She gave birth six months ago," one overly curious social media user asked, as quoted by Vanity Fair. "If it was a surrogate just say that. If the baby was adopted just say that. If the baby was the product of an affair and you’ve decided to raise it with your wife just say that. If you don’t want to say anything—why don’t you both stop constantly posting and begging for clickbait. Just raise your 100 children in private."

In response to the comment, 62-year-old Baldwin snapped: "You should shut the f**k up and mind your own business."

Another comment on the post said, as quoted by People, "My first response was like, 'Yikes' but it's not my business and if they love and can support all of these children, then God bless them." And to this, the actor, who has one child from a previous marriage and six with Hilaria, responded by saying: "I believe that people should simply say congratulations, or just shut the f**k up. That's it."

Although the couple did not immediately reveal details of Lucia's birth, a source reportedly confirmed to E! News saying the newborn "arrived via surrogate."

Not too long ago, Hilaria was in the midst of another controversy where she was accused of faking her an accent and pretending to be from Spain. The same was brought up in the post about their sixth child, and the 30 Rock actor fired back by saying, "because, basically, they're not very smart. Americans are people who know less about how to live a peaceful, healthy life than most of the civilized world."

In the past as well, Baldwin has supported his wife when she was accused of lying about her Spanish roots. An insider told People in January, "While Hilaria has seemed a bit upset, Alec has been around to comfort her. He has been supportive and has tried to cheer her up."
