'He is not your ATM': Woman discovers rules her boyfriend's mother made for anyone dating him

There were some ominous lines like "Understand that I can make you go away" and "I know how to avoid jail." Why would anyone be with her son?

A Louisiana woman was left appalled after she discovered a list of rules that her boyfriend's mother had posted for anyone dating her son. 18-year-old Emma recently shared her findings on TikTok after she discovered a list of ten demands on the woman's Instagram account. Among several of her rules was one that warned her son's girlfriend not to turn up at the house "looking like a stripper." Now if any of the rules are broken, the protective mother assures that she knows how to make the girlfriend "go away."

The woman did not hesitate to establish the fact that her son is "a mama's boy," and "Unless you have a ring on your finger, your opinion does not matter," it continued, according to Daily Mail. Clearly, she is not someone who would tolerate flirty text messages, as she wrote, "If I see any 'sexts' on his phone, I will make you go away. There were some ominous lines like "Understand that I can make you go away" and "I know how to avoid jail" that is sure to make any girl dating her son run for the hills. Moreover, she clearly mentions the fact that if she doesn't approve of her unnamed son's girlfriend she will "make you go away."

She also reminds the girlfriend, "You are not in charge of him and it is not up to you to change him." In the event that the girl tries to do so, the mom reminds her that she can "make her go away" by writing, "Take him for who he is, or see rule #5." In yet another rule, she says, "He is a gentleman. I taught him that. You better act like a lady and deserve that."

Concluding the warning, the mother notes that if any girl should try to "fake" her way into marriage with her son, then they would get a taste of what a mother-in-law from hell is like. "If you weasel your way past all of these rules and fake your way to a ring on your finger, I will be something much worse than your boyfriend's mom. I'll be your mother-in-law," reads the rule.

The now-deleted post soon racked up thousands of likes, with commenters expressing their shock at the mother's scary attitude towards her son's love life. There were some who urged the girl to leave her boyfriend while she still had the chance to escape his mother. "Break up now. It will never get better," wrote one. Another added, "Girl run." Yet another sympathetic TikTok user expressed, "My bf's family adores me. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this." Some even warned that her boyfriend's mother seems like the type who might just wear white to their wedding. "Oh she will def wear white at your wedding," they shared. According to Honey Nine, the list shared by the woman has been circulating online for years. While the post is meant for it's hilarious undertones, for the most part, it's possible that the woman shared it to send her son's girlfriend a particular message.
