Baba Vanga, a blind mystic who predicted 9/11, claimed to know what 2022 has in store for us

Vanga, a blind Bulgarian mystic, was born in 1911. She claimed to gain her power of predicting the future at the age of 12 after being blinded during a storm.

Ever since the coronavirus pandemic began in 2020, our reality as we know it has changed drastically. Will this change in 2022? Or will something worse happen? While we cannot foresee what the future has in store for us, the 'Nostradamus of the Balkans' Baba Vanga claimed to know it all. According to her, we should be alert and ready to tackle the upcoming year.

Vanga, a blind Bulgarian mystic, was born in 1911. She claimed to gain her power of predicting the future at the age of 12 after being blinded during a storm. Although she passed away in 1996 at the age of 85, Vanga did make several prophecies, many of which surprisingly did come true.

One of her most famous predictions came in 1989 when she said two "steel birds" would hit America in a 2001 terror attack. Next thing we know, 9/11 happened. According to Huffington Post, she also predicted Barack Obama’s presidency, the 2004 Thailand tsunami, the breakup of the Soviet Union, and East and West Germany's reunification.

While the accuracy of her projections is still debated, Vanga did leave behind a slew of predictions that run until 5079, the year the world is believed to end. Coming to 2022, the psychic claimed that several Asian countries and Australia would be hit with "intense bouts of floods." She also said that a team of researchers will discover a lethal and even deadlier virus than the coronavirus in Siberia which had been frozen until now.

That being said, back in 2014, an ancient virus did return after remaining dormant for 30,000 years in the Siberian permafrost. In yet another prediction, she suggested that a drinking water crisis, which honestly doesn't seem that far-fetched. In fact, it's already happening. BBC reports that a quarter of the world's population, i.e. 2 billion people, don't have access to safe drinking water.

The clairvoyant said there would be a locust attack that will destroy crops and agricultural land and cause famine in India. Back in 2020, these crop-devouring insects did hit India and Pakistan. Here's hoping that they don't get any worse. The physic also noted that more people would be glued to their screens and guess what, Virtual Reality (VR) usage has considerably increased in recent years. Vanga also believed that in 2022, it will take over.

Now for her last prediction: yes, it's an alien attack. There are many who believe aliens have already made contact with us but they haven't actually been at war. Coming back to the mystic's forecast, she said an asteroid called "Oumuamua" will be sent by aliens to seek life on earth. But will all the other calamities happening, it's possible that the aliens would just take a u-turn.
