Bradley Cooper brought his mom as his date to this year's Oscars

Bradley Cooper, who was not nominated for an award this year, looked dapper in a black Gucci suit as he walked to the red carpet alongside his date who matched his look.

For this year's Oscars, Bradley Cooper brought a special date: his mother! By bringing his mom, Gloria Campano, to the 94th annual Academy Awards the Nightmare Alley star has maintained his longstanding tradition of attending prestigious ceremonies with her. Cooper, who was not nominated for an award this year, looked dapper in a black Gucci suit as he walked to the red carpet alongside his date who matched his look.

Campano stunned the crowd with her floor-length black dress and silver sequined blazer. What melted everyone's heart was seeing Cooper embracing his mom on the carpet as the pair smiled brightly and posed for pictures. Previously, the Silver Lining Playbook actor attended the 2019 Oscars with his mother and Irina Shayk, his girlfriend at the time, when he was nominated for A Star Is Born.

The trio arrived in coordinated all-black attire and posed for photos outside Hollywood's Dolby Theatre. That year's event ended with Julia Roberts closing the 2019 Oscars with a special shoutout to the 47-year-old's mom. "Well, apparently, that wraps up the 91st Academy Awards," said the actress after presenting the Best Picture award, according to the Independent

"I would like to say congratulations to all the nominees, and good night to Bradley Cooper’s mother and my children, and thank you for watching," she concluded. Per Harper's Bazaar, Cooper also attended the 25th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards,  held at the Shrine Auditorium, with his mother giving us a glimpse of their tight-knit relationship.

During an interview with TODAY’s Willie Geist, the actor opened up about the close bond he shares with his mother and how she always sees the best in him. "My mom’s funny because she always thinks everything’s gonna be a huge hit," he shared. Back in 2020, the American Sniper actor shared how he decided to spend the lockdown with his mother and daughter Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper, whom he shares with his former supermodel girlfriend, to care for them.

"I'm with my daughter and my mother and my two dogs, and we have not left the house," said a concerned Cooper. "My mother is going to be 80, and she has a colostomy bag, so I can't let anybody in the house. And I can't leave the house, because if she gets it, it's over," said the concerned son."
