His doppleganger may be a shark, but ironically, Trump hates the creatures. "I’m not a big fan of sharks either," he once said.
Some would argue that Donald Trump has the makings of a predator, but what now needs no further discussion is that the former president has the looks of a predator, specifically a lemon shark that's prowling around near the coast of Florida.
The shark, which is 9 feet long, was captured just below the surface of the water with its razor-sharp teeth, and internet users couldn't help but notice its striking resemblance to the recently-ex US president.
The photograph of the marine predator was captured by underwater photographer and videographer, Tanner Mansell, who has a special love for sharks. The 27-year-old managed to click this picture when he was diving off the coasts of his hometown in Jupiter, Florida, according to the Daily Mail.
Originally captured in December, 2019, the image was recently reshared by Tanner on social media, re-capturing the attention of people who could immediately see the resemblance between Trump and his aquatic doppelganger.
"Looks like Donald Trump Shark," one social media user said, while another asked, "Am I alone to see a trump hair shape?"
At first, Tanner did not notice the resemblance, but after seeing the comments on his post, he could see what people were talking about. And once you see it, you can't un-see it.
"When I first posted the photo, it completely blew up. I was surprised to see the number of comments it got regarding Trump," said the passionate photographer. "I didn't see it at first but I can see what people are saying. That was always the top comment with many people agreeing. I think it's funny and unique. I have never heard of anybody comparing a shark to a human."
Although the picture is quite a remarkable sight, the last person to be excited about it might be Trump himself. Previously, the former president had made it very clear that he does not like sharks.
Stormy Daniels, who claims to have had an affair with Trump, told In Touch Weekly that the man is "terrified of sharks."
"He was like, 'I donate to all these charities and I would never donate to any charity that helps sharks. I hope all the sharks die.' He was like riveted. He was like obsessed. It’s so strange..." Stormy said.
A few months before the 2020 elections, Trump confirmed his hatred for the creatures while speaking at an event in Pennsylvania in August, 2020.
"It’s true. I’m not a big fan of sharks either," Trump said, as quoted by The Guardian. "I don’t know, how many votes am I going to lose?"
"I have people calling me up, 'Sir, we want to have a fund to save the shark, it’s called Save the Shark.' I say, 'No thank you, I have other things I can contribute to,'" the former president went on to say.
Trump may or may not like it, but the internet has passed its judgment and believes the shark in Tanner's photograph is the spitting image of him.
According to the Daily Mail, Tanner also spoke about his work and said, "I work with companies here and there for content but more importantly I take photos of guests with sharks to help inspire the world to love them and in turn protect them. I work for Florida Shark Diving, we run three charters a day, three boats seven days a week (weather depending) to go see sharks and it is my job to capture these moments for people. I have never loved anything more."
