Bob Saget allegedly said "I don’t feel good" on the night he passed away

Details surrounding the mysterious death of Full House alum Bob Saget keep emerging nearly 3 months after his death.

New details have emerged about the night Full House alum Bob Saget passed away. According to Page Six, he was allegedly heard saying that he didn't fell well and that his hearing had been "off" prior to performing his final comedy set. "I did hear him say, 'I don’t feel good but I’m ready to do the show. This is what I do this for.' He seemed to be talking himself up," recalled showrunner Rosalie Cocci during an interview with Orange County police.

"He said that his hearing had been off and that was the case that night. He was asking the sound guys to turn everything up," added Cocci, who makes sure shows at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Florida run smoothly. The showrunner also alleged that Saget had not been feeling quite well the night before and that he had "a sore throat" in addition to his hearing being off. But the comedian was "happy he had lozenges for the stage."

Saget apparently told Cocci that he had been suffering from "long-term COVID" and that it was "taking his body a long time to get over it." That being said, she also claimed that the star "seemed OK" and that he was "cracking jokes" during his nearly two-hour performance. Recalling his physical condition, she continued, "He wasn’t sweating, he didn’t miss a beat, nothing slurred … He came out very energetic."

The 65-year-old was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakeson in Florida, on January 9. Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany, who performed the autopsy, revealed that his death was "the result of blunt head trauma." It also indicated that the beloved actor had severe fractures to the back of his head and above his eyes.

According to PEOPLE, authorities believe Saget lost consciousness in the bathroom even though the marble end table and counters in the bathroom had no traces of hair or blood. They think the comedian fell backward on the marble floor and hit his head. When he regained consciousness, a dazed Saget must have stumbled into the bed where he lost consciousness again and tragically passed away.

It is estimated that he died around 4:00 a.m. and his body was found 12 hours later. There's still a lot of mystery surrounding Saget's death, more so because his family got a judge's approval to permanently blocked the release of Saget’s autopsy report.
