'I know I have the right partner for the rest of whatever life brings me,' the 40-year-old said of her husband.
Jodie Sweetin married her longtime boyfriend, Mescal Wasilewski, in an intimate ceremony at a private home in Malibu on Saturday evening, reports PEOPLE. The couple, who have dated for five years and became engaged in January, tied the knot in the presence of Sweetin's two daughters—Zoie, 14, and Beatrix, 11—as well as several of her "Full House" castmates, including John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, and Andrea Barber. "I know I have the right partner for the rest of whatever life brings me," the 40-year-old said of her husband. "And I couldn't be more grateful."
Sweetin chose to wear an elegant necklace and sleeveless white gown with lace details from Lili Bridals on her big day, with her hair in a simple updo accessorized with what appears to be a sprig of baby's breath. The blushing bride held a multicolored floral bouquet as she walked down the aisle with her father Sam. Her daughters stood by her side as Sweetin and Wasilewski—a clinical social worker—exchanged personalized vows and rings from Kay Jewelers in front of just 50 guests. The couple also marked the blending of their families by gifting Zoie and Beatrix with matching yellow gold and diamond Kay Jewelers Circle of Gratitude necklaces.
Following the backyard ceremony, the wedding party enjoyed a dinner of tacos and a guacamole bar—catered by Border Grill—and also indulged in small cake and dessert bites from Big Sugar Bakeshop. "I didn't want it to be fussy," Sweetin said of the reception, which was planned by Sara Landon Events. "The look is very organic and natural. It's just about good food and good friends—and twinkle lights!" This is Sweetin's fourth marriage. She was married to her first husband Shaun Holguin from 2002 to 2006 and wed Cody Herpin, father of her daughter Zoie, in 2007. After the pair split in 2010, the actress married Morty Coyle, father of Beatrix, in 2012. They went on to get divorced in 2016.
Full House's Jodie Sweetin Marries Mescal Wasilewski: 'He's the Best Teammate I Could Ask For' https://t.co/1G9PPmkbu6— People (@people) July 31, 2022
Sweetin and Wasilewski began dating long-distance in 2017 after meeting through mutual friends. He later moved to Los Angeles from New York in 2020. "All the pieces just fell into place," the actress said. "Mescal makes me feel absolutely comfortable and secure to shine as bright as I need to. He steps up and shows up for my girls. And we harmonize so well. He's really the best teammate I could ask for." Sweetin appeared to tease the wedding on Instagram on Saturday morning, sharing a photo of her engagement ring sparkling against a new manicure. "Ooooo…. Always nice to have a fresh mani for a special occasion," she captioned the image.
Sweetin previously opened up about her "magical" relationship with Wasilewski in an April 2022 interview with PEOPLE magazine. "We intertwine so well. He's funny and smart and he's my biggest supporter. It's really magical. He loves my girls, which is so incredibly important," she said. "I remember suddenly, I was like, 'I want something a lot different than what I wanted ten years ago (in a relationship),' and it's made it so easy."
