The stars tied the knot on July 19 at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.
It was an intimate, emotional ceremony for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck when the two tied the knot at A Little White Wedding Chapel on Saturday, July 16. "Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world," Lopez wrote on her OnTheJlo newsletter. "We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight. They graciously stayed open late a few minutes, let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed)." "We read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we'll wear for the rest of our lives," she continued. "In the end, it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined."

Wedding Chapel employee Kenosha Booth Portis was working at the Las Vegas venue when the celebrity couple walked in to tie the knot. Portis recalled to Good Morning America the "exciting moment" when she first spotted Lopez, 52, and Affleck, 49. "We were getting ready to close and we had a special guest arrive as a walk-in," she said. "I started shaking a little bit. I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, this is Jennifer Lopez we're getting ready to marry!'" Portis noticed that the two "were reading each other's vows, they were very sweet. They both were emotional. They cried to each other. The kids were right there behind them."

The Bennifer love story is nearly 20 years in the making. They first met in 2002 on the set of the rom-com Gigli. They soon began dating and decided to get married in September 2003. Unfortunately, they postponed the wedding and eventually called it off in January 2004. "Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date," Affleck and Lopez said in the statement at that time. "When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate 'decoy brides' at three different locations, we realized that something was awry." "We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families and our friends," they added. But it looks like they've gotten a second chance at love. According to PEOPLE, the pair rekindled their romance after Lopez's split from Alex Rodriguez in April 2021 and it looks like they couldn't be happier. On her website, Lopez affirmed, "We have been in the game in the public eye long enough to know who we are as people and what really matters and what doesn't matter. We have kids and we respect each other. ... We really live our lives in a way we can be proud of and our kids can be proud of you. We're just operating from a place of love and respect for everyone in our lives and that is very important to us. We know what the truth is [and] we hold it sacred."
