Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban celebrated their 16th marriage anniversary with adorable posts on social media. The 55-year-old Academy Award winner took to Instagram to mark the special occasion with a rare photo from the couple's fairytale wedding.

"Sweet XVI. Remember this like it was yesterday," read the caption of the photo which showed the couple lighting candles together at their 2006 wedding ceremony in a church in Manly, Australia. "Forever," wrote Kidman, concluding her post. While Kidman chose a throwback picture of the couple to mark a milestone of their undying love, Urban shared a more recent picture of themselves writing, "HAPPY SWEET 16 BABY xxxxx." The selfie shows The Northman star waving at the camera.

Urban's post comes just days after he celebrated his wife's 55th birthday with a sweet picture. "Happy birthday babygirl," read the post which shows the musician planting a kiss on her forehead. Despite seeming like a perfect couple, Kidman and Urban haven't been without struggles in the due course of their relationship.

During an interview with the Sunday Times, Urban opened up about his long battle with alcoholism and how encouraging his wife has been throughout. After checking into rehab in 1998, he resumed treatment a few months after tying the knot with Kidman in 2006. "My dad was an alcoholic, so I grew up in an alcoholic house and it took me a long time to believe I was wired the same," he shared.

"I had to find a different way to be in the world. I’m glad it didn’t change anything about my music. I wrote plenty of hit songs while drunk. I wrote plenty sober. I feel lucky it hasn’t defined my creativity," said Urban who still thanks his wife for helping him get back on track, according to Yahoo! News.

In fact, he released a ballad, "Thank you," expressing the same and honoring Kidman with whom he shares two daughters Rose, 13, and Faith Margaret, 11.
