A heartbroken Lisa Marie Presley is remembering her late son Benjamin Keough. She took to Instagram to pay her beloved child a touching tribute on the second anniversary of his death.

"Several years ago, on Mother's Day, my son and I got these matching tattoos on our feet," she told her followers, posting a picture of the design inked on their skin, reports PEOPLE. "It's a Celtic eternity knot. Symbolizing that we will be connected eternally," she explained. "We carefully picked it to represent our eternal love and our eternal bond. 💔"

On July 12, 2020, Lisa's world came to a grinding halt when her loving son died by suicide at the age of 27. Ever since his demise, she had mourned his loss openly. "I haven’t posted in quite some time because there really isn’t much to say, as I am and will forever be mourning the loss of my son," she shared back in May according to TODAY

"Navigating through this hideous grief that absolutely destroyed and shattered my heart and my soul into almost nothing has swallowed me whole. Not much else aside from my other 3 children gets my time and attention anymore," she added.

Just months after Benjamin's death, Lisa posted a picture on Instagram and opened up about her pain. "My beautiful beautiful angel, I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven. My heart and soul went with you. The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day," she expressed

"I will never be the same. Please wait for me my love, and hold my hand while I stay to continue to protect and raise your little sisters and to be here for Riley. I know you would want that...You were much too good for this world. 😞💔" concluded the post which was shared on what would have been Benjamin's 28th birthday.

Benjamin's sister Riley Keough also took to social media yesterday to honor his memory by sharing a throwback picture of herself smiling and posing alongside her late brother. "Not an hour goes by where I don’t think of you and miss you. It’s been two years today since you left and I still can’t believe you’re not here. You are so loved my Ben Ben. ❤️💫🍣" read the caption.
