Meghan Markle appeared to be 'snubbed' by few women as royals greeted mourners outside Windsor

Mourners recently gathered around Windsor Castle to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II who died at age 96 on 8 September. Prince Harry and Meghan arrived alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton to greet mourners. Meghan and Harry stepped down as senior royals over a year ago. In a statement at the time, Buckingham Palace said, "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed to Her Majesty The Queen that they will not be returning as working members of The Royal Family.  Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service. The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family. While all are saddened by their decision, The Duke and Duchess remain much loved members of the family."

Since their exit, the pair have publicly called out 'the firm,' reports The Express UK.  It seems royal fans may have taken offense to the criticism and when Meghan arrived to greet the mourners they expressed coldness towards her outside Windsor.   As the 41-year-old Suits actress walked down the line of people, two women refused to put out their hands for her. They even smirked at each other when she walked past. One woman ignored Meghan by putting on her sunglasses as she walked by. She also kept her phone in her hands to make sure Markle didn’t reach for her. But the Duchess of Sussex showed grace amidst the mourner's cold behavior and made sure to still acknowledge them as she gently touched one of them on their arm.

Many Twitter users were shocked by the women's behavior. One person tweeted: The lady is an actual embarrassment. Typical school girl bullying behaviour. Another added: It’s sad how many people think being rude to someone is okay. You don’t have to like a person but it’s another thing to be blatantly nasty. And we wonder why the world is the way it is. A third said: A Royal well wisher snubbing a member of the royal family. I’m sure the Queen would have expected better behavior from someone who was supposedly there to pay their respects to her.
