Harry and Meghan move into the same LA neighborhood that Princess Diana would've lived in if she were still alive

Diana's boyfriend had bought a mansion for them to live here just months before the accident. Harry is now living the life that was his mother's dream.

Away from the tall walls of the palace and away from the maddening paparazzi that tormented his mother, Prince Harry is now living out the quiet life in LA, enjoying his time with Meghan Markle and their son, Archie.

At the moment, they have a $20million (£16million) mansion in Malibu to call their home as they take a breather from their previous stressful lives. They were initially staying in Canada after they left the UK before they soon shifted to sunshiny LA. But their choice of this particular area may not be a random decision after all. It is believed that if Princess Diana were still alive, there is a possibility that she might be living in the same area as well.

"Sources have told us that Meghan and Harry are staying in a $20million mansion in Malibu," Royal expert Charlie Lankston told Access, as quoted by Express. "Now, this is interesting for a number of reasons. Malibu is nicely out of the way, it’s not right in the middle of LA, they’re not going to get that Hollywood, over the top lifestyle which I’m sure the two of them are not looking forward to getting involved into whatsoever. But it’s also in an area where it was rumoured that Princess Diana was planning to live with Dodi al-Fayed shortly before they died."

Before they died in a car crash, Dodi al-Fayed is reported to have bought a house in the Malibu area in June 1997 with dreams of living there with Princess Diana. But a couple of months after he bought the house, the horrible car accident took place.

"We know that Dodi had purchased property in the very same area and sources told us Princess Diana was very much planning to move in with him had their life not ended so tragically and so early," the royal expert said.

"Harry and Meghan were very much testing the waters with their stay in Canada, I don’t believe they ever planned to make the place their residence but it was the place that the two of them knew they could be really isolated from the rest of the world. They could really hunker down with Archie, away from the publicity that they experienced in London. It always made sense for the two of them to be in Los Angeles at least part of the time."

In the past, both Prince William and Prince Harry have honored their mother's memory in their own ways. And now, as Prince Harry followed through with one of the most drastic decisions a member of the royal family could have taken, he ended up in the very place his mother could have possibly lived in.

Throughout her challenging life as a princess, Lady Diana found the most joy with her two sons and she, too, was said to be excited by the idea of Prince Harry going to the US. According to her astrologer Debbie Frank, Princess Diana was worried about Prince Harry finding his own path. Prince Harry was just six years old when the astrologer found that he would have a connection with USA and upon hearing this, Princess Diana was ecstatic.

Frank told The Sun. "She loved looking at Harry’s and William’s charts. The boys made her happiest in her life. I remember meeting Harry one day at Kensington Palace. He was dressed as a policeman and playing with William. Harry was six."

Frank, who had become Princess Diana's friend and confidant, went on to say, "It was around the same time we saw America in his chart and Diana was thrilled with the link. We had no idea back then that he would be marrying Meghan. We thought he could be going to the US to university. Diana was so happy. She thought it may be Harvard."

What made Princess Diana happy on hearing that her son would live in America at some point in his life was that she and her boys had made fond memories while in the country and it "appealed to their sense of adventure."

"She told me how they had been to California and stayed in Goldie Hawn’s house," Frank added. "The boys loved it, they were happy there, but Diana found the US too much as they fawned over her all the time. I remember her saying, 'I want the boys to be worldlier and know about life beyond this country.' She loved what America brought out in the boys because it was so modern and different. Because of their love for America it became one of their favourite places."

Between the years of 1989 and 1997, Princess Diana would often talk to Frank about her sons and their futures. While she dearly loved her boys, she was also worried for Prince Harry and how he would come into his own.

"Diana would always have a giggle and a glint in her eye when she talked about Harry. She would say he was the naughty, mischievous, impish one with a fantastic sense of humour," Frank recalled. "She would be rueful about him and what was going to happen for Harry, and she knew he had all this energy and it was going to be hard for him to conform to real life. She said he was a handful... She enjoyed the fact he was able to break the rules even if she couldn’t. William was much more serious and very sensitive."

Frank also added, "On one of the last times we spoke over the phone, she said, ‘I hope Harry will do things his own way and be able to be out of the shadow of William.'"

Seeing the choices that Prince Harry has made, especially the tough ones considering the family he was born into, one would say that he has not always conformed just because he had to. He showed the courage to break protocols and do what he believes in as he now builds a life for himself and his family in America, a country that is fairly new to him.

Frank also said, "Diana would be so proud of the man Harry has become and of his relationship with Meghan."
