Sisters, who lived in the same city for over 30 years, reunite after 45 years

They were born to different mothers and separated by unfortunate circumstances 51 years ago. But now they have reunited thanks to a DNA test.

Michele Dugan and Trish Morgan share the same father. The two sisters, who are of the same age, have lived in the same city for over 30 years yet, they have been unaware of each other's existence. They were born to different mothers and separated by unfortunate circumstances 51 years ago. But now they have reunited thanks to a DNA test.

Michele Dugan went into foster care and was adopted later. Meanwhile, her sister Trish Morgan grew up with their father and Trish's biological mother. Three years ago, Michele decided to find out her roots and thus signed up for Ancestry.com. She was left surprised after receiving a message from Trish, who invited her for a cup of coffee.

Even though they had met for the first time, the connection was immediate. The sisters were spooked out by how similar they were to each other. "It was like looking at a ghost. The blue eyes, the hair, everything. So I couldn’t stop staring at her. Like, you’re definitely my sister—for sure 1,000 percent," Morgan said according to Good News Network.

For hours, the sisters shared details about their lives, trying to make up for the lost decades. This is when they were amazed to learn that their sons were not only the same age but that they even attended the same school. What's more, both sisters had a background in real estate.

Trish reportedly enrolled in real estate school but was yet to receive her certification and Michelle was something of a Las Vegas real estate legend, who had worked in the industry for almost 25 years. After learning that they shared career passion, Michele encouraged Trish to get her certification and together launched "Sisters Selling Vegas" for the Realty ONE Group.

"It was the universe talking," shared Michele, who revealed that she was at one of the lowest points in her life when this opportunity presented itself. "I was so busy. I remember saying to someone, ‘I need another me. I need someone who really likes to work and cater to clients and is not just in it for the paycheck, but in it for all the right reasons.’ And there she is! We just came into each other’s life at the absolute perfect time."

But more than anything the two sisters are glad to have found each other, especially because they grew up with only brothers. "I always wanted a sister—always," said Trish of her special relationship with sister Michele.
