Tom Hanks surprises couple on their big day: "He was just so positive and humble"

When the Cast Away star saw a group of dressed people celebrating what seemed to be a wedding, he decided to drop by and congratulate the happy couple.

Tom Hanks is stealing hearts once again with his humble and beautiful personality. When the Cast Away star saw a group of dressed people celebrating what seemed to be a wedding, he decided to drop by and congratulate the happy couple. According to TODAY, the Oscar-winning actor crashed the wedding of Diciembre and Tashia Farries on October 22 as the two brides were happily clicking pictures with their family on the beach by Santa Monica Pier in California. "We were so in our own moment so for him to walk up, it was shocking and took a second for us to realize. It was the cherry on top for our big day," expressed Diciembre who could never imagine that Tom Hanks would come over to congratulate them.

In a video of the special encounter, guests at the wedding could be heard saying, "That's Wood!" referring to the popular character the 65-year-old plays in Pixar's Toy Story franchise. After the star meets the bride Tashia, he exclaimed, "Oh man, my stock just exploded!" reports PEOPLE. The sweet actor spent at least five minutes talking to the couple who were stoked to see him. He then asked to take a picture with them and that moment made for an adorable photo where Hanks can be seen posing with Diciembre, Tashia, and their 1-year-old son, August. "He said he noticed the ceremony and gave us many compliments and just said we looked beautiful. He gave us love advice and was just so positive and humble," shared Tashia.

This was just the latest account of Hanks' kind and sweet gestures towards strangers. Back in 2008, the Forrest Gump actor stopped his movie's shooting after noticing a distressed bride and her father. They were supposed to head towards a church but the route had been blocked by the film's crew. So not only did Hanks direct everyone to clear the path but also accompanied the duo as they made their way to the church. The thoughtful artist held the bride's hand and also her veil to keep it from dragging on the floor, according to Telegraph

Unlike most celebrities, Hanks loves engaging in casual conversations with the public just as he did recently and one other time in 2016. Per Inside Edition, he surprised a newlywed couple, Elisabeth and Ryan Barclay, as they were having their wedding photoshoot in Central Park. "The whole group was very shocked and couldn't believe it actually happened. We were really glad to have it all on camera and just knew that it was an 'only in New York' moment," said Elisabeth, who described Hanks as "incredibly nice and complimentary." The actor "even spent time with our niece and nephew," and posed for photos with them.
